Wallpaper Love

Tuesday, 15. May 2012

For this week’s “Inspiration” I wanted to feature some of my favorite wallpapers from the 2011 Salt Lake City Parade of Homes.  Wallpaper is a hot, hot hot, accessory.  I love really bold, statement papers like the black and white one above.

I also love this bold floral in this master bathroom.  I would not have thought to use this paper in a master bathroom but I think it really works.

I love this wallpaper too.  Come to think of it, I haven’t met a wallpaper I don’t love :-) .  I really like the neutral colors and the pattern.  I think is a great statement for this small bathroom.  Well, have I sold you on the idea of adding wallpaper to that wall or room that needs a little something?  Hope I have helped to “Inspire” you.  Have a wonderful week everyone!

Red Painted And Glazed Piano

Friday, 4. May 2012

Happy Friday Everyone!  For this week’s “Inspiration” I have an extra special post.  I am blessed with the best readers!  Linda is one of my lovely readers who is willing to share the rewards of her hard work and talent.

Here is a before picture of Linda’s piano.

Here is the stunning after.

Love, love the red paint with the black glaze.

The glaze gives the piano a little extra depth and dimension and a whole lot of character.

The glaze also helps define and highlight intricate details like above.

It may take some time and elbow grease for this kind of transformation.  Linda said, “It was a lot of work, but so worth it!”  I agree!  Linda, you have done a gorgeous job!  I hope you have been as inspired as I have.  Have a wonderful weekend!

“Tangled” House

Saturday, 21. April 2012

For this week’s “Inspiration” I wanted to share pictures from the “Tangled” house. This home was an entry in the 2011 Salt Lake City Parade of Homes.   It was built by J. Brown Homes and interior design was furnished by Courtney Carlson.

This is my real life princess playing in the tower.

Can you believe the attention to detail?  The tower is amazing.  The mural is amazing.  Ahhh, can you just imagine how many requests the lucky little girl who lives here gets for sleep-overs?

Kids’ Paradise House

Monday, 9. April 2012

Today I am sharing the last (but best) pictures for the KIds; Paradise House.  Above is part of the incredible sports room tucked into the basement of this 2011 Salt Lake City Parade of Homes house.

I think this backyard would make this the most popular house in the neighborhood.  Now, I will never have the room to make this half-pipe a reality in our house but… maybe I can make this fire pit a reality.  Hope you have been “Inspired” too.  Have a wonderful week everyone!

Kid Paradise House, Boy’s Bedroom

Sunday, 1. April 2012

I love this cool, colorful boy’s room from the 2011 Salt Lake City Parade of Homes.  I especially love the purple accent wall behind the bed.  I am really considering something like it for my basement bathroom redo.  Not in purple though.  I am thinking teal or maybe lime green.  I hope this week’s “Inspiration” has helped inspire you too.  Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.  I plan to be back on schedule this week, with a couple of new projects/tutorial to share.
