I picked this little chest up at my favorite thrift store over the weekend.  I don’t know if it was meant specifically to be used as a jewelry box but that is what I was looking for.  My daughter has outgrown her old jewelry box.

I had a sheet of scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, and a little craft paint on hand, so this project only ended up costing me the dollar I spent on the chest.

I think this is a good start to my daughter’s room makeover.  Yes, I’m still waiting for her to clean her room so I can paint it, but I’m determined to get her makeover started.  Wish me luck!
