Roast Beast Feast
Wednesday, 30. November 2011
Our theme for this year’s Christmas is “How the Grinch Stole Christmas’.
I would like to welcome you to our Roast Beast Feast.
Here’s the table for two.
and
”What’s on the menu?” you ask.
Who Pudding and
Rare Who Roast Beast. (Made with paper mache, joint compound, acrylic paint, and spray paint)
As part of the centerpiece, I stacked up some of my Fiestaware.
This a candelabra that my husband welded together for me. He made it as a form so I could cover it with modeling clay but I love it as is so I painted it a happy turquoise and added Christmas colored taper candles.
I wanted to do something a little more fun that a floral arrangement so I came up with,
Candy flowers!
My kids have been very patient in waiting for their chance to devour these flowers.
I just used some of the vases I usually have displayed in my craft room/laundry room.
I used our good silverware and the cream and red snowflake plate I use every christmas. I bought the placements and napkins at Target. I also bought the turquoise and cream snowflake plates. I picked them up at Shopko. I made the name cards. The stemware are heirlooms from Grandma.
To add to the spirit of things we bought this little “Seuss” tree from Hobby Lobby.
Last but not least, I wanted to share my mantle.
I couldn’t find a “Max” so I made a horn out of modeling clay and tied it on my doggie’s head.
I borrowed Mr. Grinch from my Mom.
I bought these wooden letter from Hobby Lobby and painted them a “Grinchy” green and hot glued them to some ribbon.
I had some frames that weren’t being used so I made this artwork.
I guess I should have warned you from the start how long this post was going to be. That’s about it for this room. I will be sharing other rooms and my front porch in the near future. I will also be sharing some tutorials for all the things I made. I am linking this post up, so please click on the links and get inspired or just mingle with other party goers. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
