Thrifty Treasures

Saturday, 2. July 2011

This week I found this picnicky basket and these beautiful bowls.  The ticking fabric is a table runner I made this week.  The basket was $1.50.  The bowls were $3.00 for all four.  And the table runner was about $5.00.  I got a couple of yards of this ticking at Hobby Lobby.  It was on sale and I paid about $4.00 per yard.  I didn’t use all two yards for the runner, I had enough left over for a couple of new pillows for my living room.  I’ll have pictures of the pillows this week.  Here is a close up of the details on the bowls.

They match the dinner plates that I have thrifted.  Slowly but surely I am putting together a nice set of white dishes.  Hope everyone is having a festive weekend.  Happy Fourth of July!
